How to Grow your own turmeric. It is far better than buying it

This nature’s precious gift is by far the best cure ever for treating inflammation of any kind, be it joint pain, wounds, arthritis and any pain in general. Turmeric is confirmed for a fact that it can replace even Ibuprofen.

It is easy to grow your own turmeric indoors. It can be grown by its roots (rhizomes) and it spreads similar to ginger. It does not spread with seeds because it doesn’t disseminate them. You can try find turmeric in health stores or Indian stores.

Here’s how you can easily grow your own:

Split a piece of a bigger turmeric root into a smaller part that has two or three buds.

1. Use organic soil rich in its content, a bit moist not wet. Optimal pH level ranging from 4.5 to 7.5.

2. Fill the pots with the soil and plant the roots two inches deep. Remember! Buds up!

3. Turmeric likes its water every second day. Be careful not to overdo it.

The period of growing ranges from six to ten months. It needs to ripe to be edible.  To properly use the roots, you should first dig out the whole plant.

Then, cut off a finger size of the root and place the plant back in the pot. Cover it well with soil and it’s ready to grow another root soon. It is a permanent, recurring plant that renews at spring.
